I don't know of any bogner dealers around...but there is probably one somewhere around Cleveland. I really would love to try some high quality amps.

Yeah, that's not too far (an hour). Though they have shitty hours (only open 3 days a week during normal business hours).

Check with that Hubbard OH guy first! I made a road trip several years ago and he was not happy that I dropped in unannounced. I think he said (at the time) he was more into service, wholesale, reinforcement, more than retail. Maybe it's changed since then!

I think Willcutt Guitars has a WTF? attitude regarding drop-ins. they're so busy with the online retail that they don't want people dropping in without getting an appointment, or so I hear.

I don't quite like the Boogie distorted sound (it's pretty hairy). Also it doesn't take pedals very well. The clean channel is fantastic though.

The legacy and the fender I have both have better lead sounds, to me, than the mesa actually.

what does it sound like if you crank the clean channel ? I'm never on a situation where I get to crank, ha That big sound is in that less distorted less compressed cranked clean side. Try turning it up as loud as you can get away with and then run a slightly dirty pedal in front of it, one that is more like a boost rather than something that is going to sound like the typical distortion pedal with all the mids hyped
