Can't wait to hear it (the El Cap too) Will do. I need to get the electrosocket screwed in before I play around with it too much....

Cool. A success. Perfect paint isn't everything. No problem.

Nothing wrong with that. At least two of my guitars were over ten years old when I bought them.

Pretty sure that just adds value, haha. Kind of like the antique market where they build perfectly good tables, then whip the hell out of them with chains and charge hundreds more for them because of it.

So how's this thing treating you these days? The more I play it the more I like it. Seems like it took a couple of weeks to 'settle in' for some reason. Almost, metaphorically, as if all the parts gelled together (probably in my mind) ;D The Fralin pickups were a good choice, gawd, they sound amazing. It into the AC15 yields all kinds of classic Page tones. I'll do a video one of these days.

Whenever I change all the strings at once, to oil the fingerboard or polish frets, it takes a few days for the guitar to settle back into itself. Organic materials and all, I don't think it's an illusion.

Maybe it realized you weren't going to take it apart anymore so it relaxed. Do we get to hear a sample?

So you'd definitely recommend Fralin? I've been contemplating so many pickups for my Legacy. Considering those Micro-coils from Bill Lawrence, they look interesting...though maybe I should just go with something like Fralin.
Can't wait to hear some clips
