Yeah, I know, two in one day. Horrible. This was awesome but when the wife saw what I was up to she accused me of being a "fickle guitar owner". When a guitar makes you say "holy shit" out loud you can call me fickle then. Oh well. Unless I find $3300 lying around somewhere someone else will get this thing.

Hmmm, you didn't object to the Carvin neck after playing that PRS. ?
There's probably one more PRS, one more Strat, and a Santa Cruz acoustic in my future....distant future

Actually, the Carvin had the Holdsworth neck carve which was much thicker than your usual Carvin neck shape - it was comfy for my hands.
That PRS was really delicious but realistically salaries haven't kept paces with guitar prices so I have to be more realistic at this point I think.

Yeah but to get that particular specimen I'd probably have to sell everything else.
Debatable I'd get enough $ with my current setup.
And there's no way I'd put a 13-pin wart on that beauty and I use that for everything these days.
So I'd have to keep one 13-pin thing and then grab that sucker.
The thing that blows me away is that the other one that came in is basically the same guitar but in burst format and it's about $900 more (it might have a brazlilian neck but it's basically the same guitar).
You're being en enabler!

You know I'll just play cowboy chords on the first three frets.

Or I'll keep it in the case forever and never play it because it's too nice.

I knew it! This is a sociological experiment you're performing! Cease and desist!

I'll give you a reason not to: the color-wheel of aniline dye on figured maple thing that PRS and Carvin do warrants devising a time machine to send all of the abominations back to the early 90s where they belong. Especially purple, blue, and green. Not a fan of that look.

Especially purple, blue, and green. Not a fan of that look. I'll modify that old chestnut about music: There are two kinds of guitars, good guitars and bad guitars. I like both.

Not many colors I don't like or can't live with If I get an amazing deal on a fugly PRS, yes, I'd agree. I hate the looks of my Godin, but it was less than half-price, so it got in my hands to love how it sounds and plays. If given a chance to try an amazing fugly guitar and an average but non-fugly instance of the same model, I might never even pick up the fugly one to find myself torn. Dumb, I know, but there it is.

Yeah, that one is nice too and has the rosewood neck as well as is only a couple hundred more than the one I played.
