I just tried a V pick tradition 4.0 . I am a big fan of their tradition picks and, at first, was a bit turned off by the size of the 4.0. After a few hours of playing I have actually found the 4.0 to be quite comfortable and articuluate. I am still torn between V picks and Dugains.

Graphtech is doing a promotion through 12/31 that they'll send you a Tusq pick sample pack if you email them your mailing info at sales@graphtech.com. They replied to my email that they were including some of their PrePlay string cleaner/lube/conditioner stuff.

Thanks, Bear. They're sending me a sample too. I hope it's a sample of guitar picks.

Thanks, Bear. They're sending me a sample too. I hope it's a sample of guitar picks. Why, did you mention that you do urinalysis? [Eek. That was meaner than I thought. Nothing personal meant there. Sorry if it came off as dickish as it looks to me today.]

It went as well as that kind of humor can go. Ambiguously: one orders 'a sample', one never knows exactly what one will receive.

I had refrained from mention of proctology . . .

That's true. This has been an exercise in refinement.

So, everyone has their graphtech picks by now I suppose. I quite like them, actually. Didn't think I would but they seem like very worthy additions to the arsenal

Yeah, I like the largest of the Graphtech picks just fine.

They're only okay for me, lots of present surface noise in my hands. The thinnest have a nice plunky scratchy snap, that kind of Bollywood surf attack that's so cool and distinctive with thin nylon picks.

They sent me the picks but they also included some goop in packets you rub on your hands to get them ready for playing and one of the packets leaked so everything is covered in goop.
