Does anyone use Facebook for anything more than updates and links that vanish underneath the stream every few minutes? I'm serious, I might use it more if there are uses I'm blind to. It's not all bad, I just find it impossible to keep track of anything meaningful there.

Part of it is, I have some facebook friends who spend all day on the thing posting literally hundreds of messages (most of which shared out content from others) and then people who post once a week or once a month vanish in a blizzard of content from the "constant talkers".
But sure I'll join up.
