Is the body particularly tiny? Or is the neck especially long?

hmmm, did they bring back that coating for the bridge? My dad bought me an SC1 back in 81 and all the metal parts were coated in a plastic that was pretty good stuff.

I was going to raise that question. The SC2s I remember trying in store had the metal parts coated in sort of a thin but tough epoxy resin type coating that had two really cool features: one, it protected the metal from getting eaten away with pitting and corrosion if you have acidic ph hand chemistry (so many players I know have this issue) and two it keeps the thing in newer condition longer assuring it will actually work the way it should longer. I haven't seen any of the new ones in stores yet.

Every time I glance at the thread title it reads 'G&L Bailout'.
Could be worse: 'Failout' ;D

The SC-2 reissue could have been better executed:
smaller headstock much thinner neck to cut down on weight....the originals had very, very thin necks no overwound bridge pickup
