Pedals are taking over to such a big extent because they're pretty damned cheap to make and to buy. Amps, eh, not so much.

same old shit, different shells. Boost, TS clone, Full-Drive/Sparkle Drive/Pork Loin, and an OCD .... more or less.

If they just copied the circuits of existing pedals it's going to be pretty shameful. That and I'm completely uninterested in buying another overdrive or distortion pedal that's an opamp and clipping diodes -- I've got the basic flavors covered and there are at least 20 variants I can think of that I could DIY cheaper than buying.
If they're doing the current trend of adapting tube circuits into FET or JFET workalikes, there could be some potential.
