I think I remember Frank Zappa talking about Joe's Garage, and he said; "Be glad you don't live in one of those little countries that does ban music." So let me see, no beer, no wine, no cinema, no cigarettes, no music, no education for women, no bacon, no satellite TV, now there must be something very, very special to replace all that.

This is pretty horrid. I try to see good in life, but these religions are so destructive to people. I'm not sure if the world would be any different without religion as people are just gullible to power, but I'd like to think maybe there's a chance it'd be better.
Someone will always believe in something though, which means many will believe no matter what evidence or lack of evidence is shown their way.
Ugh...

As someone who went to Catholic grade and high school, I was astounded that there were not more atheists or agnostics produced at the end of it all. Turned out it was just me and a couple others, afaik.
