Interesting interview in the new Tape Op. He recorded a lot of ECM records. May fave (that made me laugh) was when we said the key to good piano recordings was having the piano tuned at least daily...

Yeah - I saw that too. I was always fascinated by the ECM records because the same personnel seemed to be involved over and over again and at a certain point Talent Studio went away and I wondered why - well, obviously so Rainbow could come into being.
But it had the same kind of sound.
It was a interesting interview because it was obvious he engineered so many recordings that some of them were somewhat forgotten. Which is too bad. I've often wanted to be a fly on the wall on some of those sessions.
