Got one of these for my birthday www.pickpunch.com/I keep looking at all plastic items wondering how they would be as a pick...

The "standard" shape, which is my preferred. My wife just saw it at a store and thought it was fun - she did not know of our discussion on here.
Alas, 29 was long ago. This was 42. As my father says, another birthday beats the alternative.

That is pretty cool! I have a credit style plastic card with 4 picks punched into them in my wallet at all times. I dont really like that plastic, but it sure comes in handy in a pinch! It should be cool to try different materials around the house...

Can it punch thick or hard materials?

Plastic sheets (1.0 mm, 0.8mm Delrin) on order. Not an easy task to find small plastic sheets. Review forthcoming.

Made some 0.8mm and 1.0mm Acetal picks. Enjoying the 1.0mm. Nice and stiff with a decent feel, though I may rough them up a bit.

Are the edges okay? Or do you have to sand them down?

Are the edges okay? Or do you have to sand them down? A little sanding, but it is minimal.
