Probably not that interesting to most, but this makes me nostalgic and makes me laugh. My band on the radio in 1994 (interview + 4 songs): soundcloud.com/bruce-stevens/fuzz-factor-on-wiizDespite the cassette 4 track recordings the tunes were decent. I hear a lot of Swervedriver, Loop and Stooges, but those are OK by me. Bruce

This is not bad at all, it actually sounds pretty good, certainly better than what I was doing in 94.

Good alt rock and period correct. Were you successful? You were good at 'it'.

Thanks for the kind words.
We were not very successful, but then again we were in West Lafayette, IN - the armpit of the world.
We had two big gigs - we opened for Madder Rose (kind of a second level indie rock band) and a show we put on with four bands, including the Evolution Control Committee, which went on to cool things. Back then he was just a weirdo from Columbus, OH with puppets and strange noises.
Two of the people went to Chicago and slogged their way through the local band scene - tough crowd in Chitown. They now are parents in small town IN.
Fun to listen to again. We have a live tape (from the Madder Rose show) we sold that I keep meaning to digitize.

Cool - a radio interview (listening...)
Oh I like the Evolution Control Committee, they did some extremely clever stuff.
Cool!

ECC did some things that still have me in stitches. 'By The Time I Get To Arizona', 'But I Don't Believe In Evolution' ... hilarity.

The show we played with the ECC (Feb 1994) was entertaining - puppets, slide show, tape loops. He cleared the room in a matter of moments, but I loved it.
The PE / Herb Albert mash-ups are amazing, especially since it was all analog, which must have taken a while.
He also had a tape under the name MellowDeath back in 93/94 that was mellow / polka versions of alterna/punk classics. Ahead of its time and funny.

Oh yeah "But I don't believe in evolution" has me laughing in severe pain every time I hear it.
"Make the right decision, do the right thing!"
