Have any of you seen one of these. Also, pretty killer solo.

Sorry, Mirth, you forgot the rule that income and album sales drop by 20% per octave in the guitar world and that by time you get above the 15th fret you're begging for handouts on street corners. ;-)

Anyone remember these? Used to hang out at a shop as a kid that really pushed them.

Oh, yeah. Mid to late 80s and by the early 90s after Nirvana hit the airwaves they couldn't give shit like that away

Oh wow, that stuff makes me think "80s" which makes me think Killing Joke which makes me think that Cobain had good taste in who to steal from.

Who makes the guitar in the clip?
I have been wanting to see if I could deal with a Floyd and I am on the lookout for a guitar like Bruce posted, preferably for next to nothing. There is all sorts of 80's detritus on Ebay for cheap, but I haven't found quite the right one yet.

Actually, wouldn't that guitar actually cover 6 octaves? A 6 string guitar with 24 frets covers 4. But I guess that one covers 4 on either the B or high E strings.

36 fret Washburn. I tried one in a store once when those were just out and my hands seemed freakishly gigantic towards the top of the neck, the whole neck and fretboard seemed miniscule - even smaller than a Rickenbacker. And the action was higher than it should have been and it just.....it was aimed at shredders but any shredder playing it might have been annoyed.
And the paintjobs were just...."a symptom of the times".

Have any of you seen one of these. Also, pretty killer solo. Weird. When he went on the high strings towards the top of the fretboard it sounded like Metheny's guitar-synthesizer playing, that GR-300 he uses.

The odd guitar in the OP video holds its timbre nicely throughout the range. I like it.
Those Washburns sure were emblems of something nefarious at the time.
