Just finished something I thought might kill me. I created a new soundtrack for the 1929 silent film Un Chien Analou (Luis Buenel + Salvador Dali). Took three months for the 16 minutes of music, but I am happy with it:
Comments welcome,

This is really cool! I've actually never seen any of Dali's films before (shame on me) but have meant to for a long time. The soundtrack was really spot on I thought.
It sounded really good. What were you using to get all of those sounds?

This is really good. I am about 10 minutes in, but I have to leave for work. I will listen to the whole thing later.
How was it recorded? Did you mic an amp or go direct?

All was recorded direct in Logic - kinda neat how you can drag the movie right in there. Almost all of the guitars are the Bilt - made good use of the built in effects in some places. Fair amount of e-Bow. Also lots of samples (including Dali on "What's My Line?") that were heavily manipulated. The synth, piano and chimes are all Logic instruments.

This is really cool and well done, Bruce. You could find gigs doing this, imho. There are partnerships for you, I think, if you knew where to find them.

Chapel Hill is a good town for arts and culture?
Set out feelers for young filmmakers or theater directors, playwrights, activists, artists, video artists, installation artists, multi-media arts events, galleries, etc.
You have a good (forgive this term) 'portfolio' by now. Let people know what you like to do and what you can do, and see who wants to collaborate on interdisciplinary something-or-others. Find people with compatible interests and work styles, and form partnerships. With electronic media, you can do this at any distance, though you might want to get your feet wet with meat people first.

Removed from youtube due to a copyright infringement claim from Transflux films. I got it from archive.org and there are at least a hundred other versions on youtube...

Hmmm, somehow I missed this the first time. Sorry. I may have been out in the forest or something.
