I actually like LZ a lot and I am kind of glad that Plant is the guy who probably stood in the way the most when it came to recent talk of a reunion tour. He seems to want to not dwell on the past and just make whatever music he is interested in now.
I thought the two records Page and Plant made in the 90's were pretty good, and I suspect Plant probably had the most to do with making them not just be an LZ rehash. I read an interview with Albini, who had nice things to say about them both, that Plant was a pretty voracious consumer of music, buying bunches of new stuff to listen to, etc.

Well, just compare the output of Page and Plant in the post-LZ days. There is no comparison. It seems to me that Page (while I love his playing) was pretty much a dud w/o Plant.

Also a big Page fan - partly responsible for me picking up the guitar. That being said, this is one of the worst things ever recorded:
He has had moments and came off well in "It Might Get Loud", but certainly Robert PLan has had the best post LZ career.

^ Yeah, that's shit. He should have named that album "The Gear Page"

I gave a listen to the Page sountrack to Lucifer Rising this morning. I know this is well in the LZ time, but still kinda interesting. Lots of drone / synth / theremin whooshyness. I liked it, but not enough to buy the over-priced limited edition vinyl.
