I know T has some interest in this but maybe others do as well. I spent some time a couple of months ago tracking down what Danny Gatton's pick of choice was, who made it, etc. So I pieced it all together but the problem is that you cannot get them any more (the original manufacturer of the pick was actually D'Andrea but sold as the Fender 358 (white). They're long gone and the current Fender 358 (or the D'Andrea equivalents) are not the same material as the white versions. Soooo, if you want as good or better the Clayton acetal teardrop pick is the way to go: www.stringsandbeyond.com/stclacgupism.htmlFind them cheaper on Amazon...but, anyway, these are really good and durable. 12 will last you a good long while and the performance is exceptional.

I actually have some old 25-30 year old Fender picks in the same shape but the "Danny Gatton Special" pick was actually smaller in size (but the same shape) than the Fender of the same variety.
I've pretty much adopted the Jazz III's these days. I have one example of the Danny Gatton Special picks left and it's pretty worn - I don't dare use it very much.
I should get the camera out and show you the size in the photos to give you an idea the difference.

Didn't know Fender made that shape. I always assumed Danny was referring to one of the Gibson tear drop styles because I had never seen them from another maker. Live and learn. Dunlop does do a small teardrop shape in Tortex, too, in case that floats anyone's boat.

I ordered the sampler pack on Amazon for $5ish. Should be here next week.
