Wow, great interview. Never saw that one. He really took time to answer questions, and was clever throughout.
Actually hadn't listen to much of him, just downloaded the Slide of Hand album and listening to it now. Thanks for the tip.
I was actually playing a bit of slide guitar about a year ago on my tele. Really working on the behind the slide stuff, some cool things capable when you start working on the sort intricacies of slide playing (muting, behind the slide, etc...) However, I don't have a ton of time to devote every day to guitar, so I've tried to streamline, and am working on making the whammy bar do the work the slide would do. Still maybe I'll pick up the slide again. I was really working on playing jazz with it, and seeing how I could express myself that way. With a jazz album in the works, maybe I should work on it again....

I remember years ago when he had records out on SST. He is also in the Kaiser instructional video.
I may have a GP interview with him somewhere.

I had the GP profile as a pdf at one time but it's long gone I suppose.
Colby is the best when it comes to playing complex chords behind the slide

Have you heard from him at all lately? Is he doing anything new?

Have you heard from him at all lately? Is he doing anything new? Yeah, I email chat with him periodically; not doing much lately

I finally read the whole interview, it's great. I am off to buy Slide of Hand.
