Apparently it is has only the electric pickup. That is one big guitar.

Very interesting to say the least. Not my bag but I think it's pretty damn cool.
I still want a Birdfish .... badly. I've wanted one for years and years.

I don't know if it would be my thing either, but I do like it.
Back around '01 or '02 a Birdfish sold for around $3k on Ebay. I remember thinking I just should have bought it with a credit card.
I am kind of surprised that neither Teuffel nor anyone else has made more tone bars for that guitar. Since the maple and alder bars supposedly sound significantly different, one would think that other woods might also have a distinct sound in that application.

yeah, I thought it would be cool to have 10 or a dozen diff. tone bars for the BF
3K on the Bay? I think I would have gone for it.

Interesting. He's a master of industrial design and craft, and this is a gorgeous guitar. Me too though, it's not quite as strikingly Teuffel in form as his others.
