The Joe gore era of GP was pretty great. Thanks for posting the link to his SD column.

I love his guitar playing. Just the demo covers and little off-the-cuff miniatures are superb. He hosted some of the audio examples for Guitar Player "in the style of" articles, and some of them were a hoot and totally spot on. The Clubbo site. And yes, with TWaits and PJHarvey, excellent. He's really something else.

I think in that Waits clip, he is using 10's, but tuned down to C# or something, which helps explain how "boingy" it sounds.
