Very odd - there is nothing wrong with the way it was done before. I do like that it has the new bridge though.

A bit strange but manufacturers have done other oddities. As long as the guitar is the same quality as before (the G&L stuff is nice) no problem. Looks nice to me - I always wanted a white strat type guitar with a white guard, knobs and pickup covers. "Church strat".
