Musicians and bands that serve as reference points (for many of us) include: Praxis, Bill Frisell, Ry Cooder, John Zorn, Sonic Youth, the Pixies, Mike Patton, Vernon Reid, Henry Kaiser, Hans Reichel, Derek Bailey, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, Nels Cline, Fred Frith, Coltrane, Miles, and lots of lovely normal pop music too... as well as Depression and post-war era rural acoustic music, Americana, red hot country chicken pickin', riffy classic rock, 50's instrumental and surf music, etc.... Hell, I guess we like it all (except for tweener metal music and rap)

hey, I really didn't think you'd (we'd) be back.....but I'm a big fan and all for lost causes so long as they make sense to me and are somehow manageable. So, well, it's good to be back, and thanks for doing so, lost cause and all!
For my part I've been busy with Oscar, he'll be 9 months soon and has been crawling for week exponentially multiplying his range of inquisition and mayhem! Also been on a long and amazingly productive creative streak with a lot of positive energy and good ol' fashion hard-worked results. I'll try to post some at some point, especially the tracks I've been recording with Bryan who's really about the perfect drummer for me now---even though drums are like the fourth instrument down on the list for time he's been playing them. So, lots of catching up to do and i hope everybody's well and on fire creatively....see you soon
