I updated some tubes and such, and read a manual on how the Mesa EQ works and am finally starting to get somewhere with it, but jesus is that thing loud. Like, how the hell do people use 100 watt amps at all...this thing is 50 watts and it will kill you if it goes over 5, your heart would explode, haha.
It's interesting how much louder it is than my 40 watt Fender too, but I would say it's significant. I would say it might even be louder than the legacy, however I have that set to 50 watts instead of 100.
Anyways, Mesa EQ is completely nuts and not particularly intuitive, all the controls are connected and make changes on one greatly affects the other controls. It's powerful that way, but it made all the difference in the world actually learning about it.

MB = loud, heavy, and complicated....no two ways about it
But once you dial one in 'just so' they are fantastic. I have all these amp models in my Axe Fx but mainly use MB patches

It was really shrill before changing V1 preamp tube, that tamed it a bit at least. But they are a bit of a pain to dial in. It is definitely a monster though when you open it up.
Still need to get that attentuator to see what it really sounds like, haha. Actually i played it loud on a big stage once and it never sounded better. Damn power tubes.
