Possibly, I have a variety of speakers. The legacy, which I just got working again, is pretty mid-rangy...sounds good. Great distorted channel. The clean is too "nice" for me. Like most of the Soldano's I've heard, it just lacks a bit of character or something. My hope is to somehow use my fender for clean sounds then the Legacy for distorted sounds, but use them together in stereo or something...though I'm tempted to do a wet/dry kind of setup using the fender as wet....legacy dry.
Anyways...looking into attenuators, it's so difficult to get a read on them. Some people love them, some hate them. What is difficult to discern is who is who? I don't need to run a 100 watt amp at bedroom levels, but I wouldn't mind opening it up to 50% and taking it to stage volume, not severe attenuation, but enough to take the edge off.

Hmm...that might be cool. Of course the Legacy took a dump again last night, but this time it was the input jack...hmm...Carvin amps don't seem to be particularly road worthy unfortunately.
I think in general I'd take a good sounding reliable amp over a great sounding unreliable one...
