Just watch Eric rip. The intro is just blazing:
The songs start after the improv bit in the beginning.
They play Trademark, East Wes then Cliffs. The interesting stuff happens after:
At 23:55 Jeff announces they'll be playing Hop Sings on Saturday at 9:30!
Eric is pretty new to the scene and I think someone asks "WHO ARE YOU?" LOL.
I think his tone is nicer here than in recent years but oh well.
He gives setup and playing tips too. He makes mention that he hadn't been signed yet and that he was 29 when this was filmed.

This is great. Vinnie really was bringing out some reckless unhindered exploration from Eric. Fun stuff.

He works on many of his tunes for over 20 years before he records them. Crazy.

I also noticed that. I saw Eric play in the 90s and he had a "tribute tune to Stevie Ray Vaughan" that was TOTALLY different than the one that came out on Venus Isle, some thing with lots of different parts, high energy instrumental not the laid back thing for Jimmie Vaughan to play an emotional melodic solo over. I also saw him play a tune called "Rocktopus" that Chris Maresh wrote and that hasn't been out on a record yet either. I think he has a huge catalog of material to record, he just doesn't always want to record it.
