Does anyone have a legit archtop acoustic? I have a cheapish Godin, but sometimes get the itch.

I guess that must be an Asian build using the D'A brand. Who owns that brand now, I wonder? Fender?

Gorgeous. I haven't had one in a while. I used to own a Washburn J-6 and an Epiphone Emperor but sold them both a long time ago.

I had a Yamaha AEX1500 for a bit and found it to be godawful. I suppose it was fine as a plugged in jazzy guitar, but was atrocious as an acoustic instrument.

I tried some D'angelicos at NAMM (the Asian ones) and they were dope ...particualrly the 175 style one.
I have a hagstrom viking which is a 335 like guitar. It's easily one of my favorite guitars I own. It will do metal, jazz, rock, fusion all very well. I wish it could do more Tele spank...but that's not really what those do. I'd love to get a real archtop guitar thoughm.... not just a semi hollow. Those Bendito guitars look amazing to me

I've tried some. I just thought something like a ES-336 would be nice but I generally don't go for Gibsons. Hmmmm. Nice and small. Saw a guy playing one in a restaurant doing the jazz thing and he was about my height and proportionally it didn't look too large or too small. Very nice.

I had a pair of Korean D'Angelico Excels for awhile...one I traded in for a '52 Tele reissue, also gone by now. The other one I strung up with bronze wound acoustic strings for awhile before I sold it. That was nice. I didn't use the pick up much. Nothing now...thinline MIJ Tele doesn't count, the top isn't arched.
