What's wrong with that shape? Too nerdy to be the strat it wants to be at its heart. But basically, it's a Gibson Les Paul goldtop with a weird body shape.

Gibson owns a number of brands, why not roll out these unconventional (for Gibson) designs out under one of those monikers ?
