I miss the ability to 'like' posts. I'll have to find a workaround. Hello everyone.
Chris Cornell died eh? Weird. Not really my bag bar a few early Soundgarden songs, but holy fuck, hanging yourself, poor guy to get so low.

A bit numbing. Another plank of my childhood....gone.
'Badmotorfinger' was paradigm-shifting for me, alongside Fugazi, Jane's Addiction, Living Colour.....

Might have been the same deal with Keith Emerson - afterwards the woman in his life thought he may have taken a double dose of his antidepressant (merely forgot taking more than one doesn't do what you think it will). Some antidepressants in high doses cause unexpected suidical ideation and that sort of thing. Awful really. Cornell had a voice like a cannon going off when he wanted to. Black Hole Sun still sounds really vital and unique.

I was just really getting into Cornell's new solo album too. It's great. Ugh...what a bummer.
Is there only one of the grunge godfather singers left? Vedder? Anyone else?

Mudhoney and the Melvins are still floating around, but as far as bands that your Uncle Joe would have heard of, Pearl Jam is the last of 'em.
