They just need to stay open long enough for me to get a semi-hollow lefty Comanche. There's some out there but they were swallowed up fast. Hopefully theyll redo them or I can find one used. Will their custom shop do stuff like that? Sure, you can order one. They don't have a custom shop. Every guitar they make is more or less custom ordered. Be sure and get ss frets. Ah, so that probably means they can't do it, since Comanche is now listed as "not available left handed". I didn't know if they had a separate custom shop that would do now traditional requests.

Well, maybe you could get a lefty Comanche and specify a body with a maximum weight of, say, no more than 3.5 lbs. Or do you want the F-hole specifically for aesthetic purposes?
Ever thought of just flipping it around a la Hendrix? My Legacy looks amazing upside down.

You can't get a lefty solid body Comanche either... actually I'm less concerned with the F holes, though I don't have a hollow body of any kind, and I think it could round out the sound nicely.
BTW, really liking my legacy lately. I need to put some work in the frets, etc....and rewire the pots for righty (since they're right handed pots and everything is in the first 1/4 turn) but I plan to record a jazz album with the guitar. Should be cool.

There is no difference between a Comanche and a Legacy body so it must just be the pick guard that is preventing it from being an option. You could have a custom pick guard made for your Legacy, buy the pups directly from G/L at their online shop, and, presto, you have a Comanche.

The only reason I can think of for there not being a lefty Comanche would be that the pickups would be oriented backwards, i.e. the treble polepieces would be further from the bridge than the bass polepieces, for a given pickup. It might sound better.

They did a run a year or two ago....they're all gone now, not sure how many they made, but they went quick. So they have the template for them, they're just keeping demand high.

Maybe Leo's spirit is living in Seoul now in the dark and dusty Cort factory? I've wondered about this.
That nails it, totally. I think you should post that at TGP to watch the inevitible fireworks.
Thread title "G&L Leo grave robbers, Part I".
